CAT 2016 exam notification expected to be released next week:

CAT 2016 exam notification is expected to be released next week and in all probability before July 25. Since registration process for CAT opens after a week or so from the date of release of CAT exam notification, it is also expected that the registration and application process for the exam will begin in the 1st week of August, 2016. The fee for registration for CAT 2016 exam may also remain same at Rs.1600/- as it was for last year.

It appears IIM Bangalore the CAT 2016 convener has fully geared up to convene CAT 2016 on time without delay. CAT Centre 2016 at IIM Bangalore has already sent the necessary documents to non-IIMs to register quickly in the list of CAT 2016 score accepting B-schools. Last year many Non-IIMs requested for extension of last date to submit the required MoU to CAT Centre as the list of Non-IIMs accepting CAT scores did not reflect their names and they were added very late, during half way of completion of registration process.

Expect changes in CAT 2016
CAT 2016 the largest MBA entrance test is expected to be full of many changes and surprises making the exam as the first of its kind of examination during past many years.
TCS will remain the testing partner for CAT 2016. The exam is proposed to be conducted on Saturday/Sunday in the month of November. High sectional and overall percentile in CAT 2016 will provide admission opportunity in 20 IIMs and other highly ranked B-schools in the country.
Notification with many changes
CAT 2016 notification will be released in leading news papers along with all the details regarding CAT 2016 exam like opening and closing of CAT 2016 registration date, issue of admit card, application fee, exam dates and number of test centres.
CAT aspirants can expect many changes in the exam notification which include
-- CAT 2016 testing window-whether it will be a single day or multiple days exam with number of sessions
-- Key eligibility criteria to appear in the exam. Last year CAT allowed the candidates with 2 years of university recognized graduate degree in old pattern as eligible to appear in the exam.
-- Information about the number of test cities, option to choose the test centre might also be shared by IIM Bangalore in the CAT 2016 notification.
Common Admission Test (CAT) 2016 is the mandatory exam for admission to flagship post graduate management programme in 20 IIMs and other top rated B schools for the academic session beginning 2017. At present there are 20 IIMs and the 20th one the IIM Jammu will start functioning from August 1, 2016 under the mentorship of IIM Lucknow.
CAT 2016: May not follow past pattern
The total overhaul of CAT began in 2015 when IIM Ahmedabad convened the exam. Although CAT 2016 convener Prof Rajendra K Bandi, faculty IIM Bangalore is a little tight lipped, it is expected that CAT 2016 exam will have different pattern and will be more aspirant friendly.
The registration and application process for Common Admission Test (CAT) 2016 is expected to open in the first week of August 2016 and will continue till late September 2016. There would not be any facility to register off-line in CAT 2016 and the candidates will need to keep their documents ready before going to finalise online registration for CAT 2016.
